Emerging High Net Worth

Typically in their 30’s, these clients are also referred to as HENRYs (high earners not rich yet). After 10-15 years of working, often while starting a family and buying a home, these couples are aggressively saving and investing for college, retirement and general purposes. Life events such as corporate promotions, being made partner at a law firm or medical practice, or receiving an inheritance are often common additive factors in deciding to engage a wealth manager.

High Net Worth
(pre-retirement)

Typically in their 40’s and 50’s, these clients have been working, saving and investing for 20-30 years. Often they have substantial IRA and 401k balances and are looking for consolidated professional investment management of their retirement accounts and taxable investment accounts such as Trusts. Common considerations often include stock options, private stock, private business interests, investment real estate, or inheritance.

High New Worth
(retiring near term)

Typically in their late 50’s and 60’s, these clients often have multiple investment accounts at multiple financial institutions in need of a consolidated investment management strategy and retirement plan. Often they have paid for their children’s college, paid off their mortgage, and built a substantial nest egg of retirement and investment accounts over the last 30-40 yeas. Considerations of second homes, more extensive travel and dining out, or that certain boat or sports car are common. Retirement income planning and estate planning are typically the biggest focus areas for these clients.
